What each cost covers

Match and management fee

Paid to Gift ov LifeSecures your donor
R21 000 South African residents. R23 000 for non-residents.

A once-off fee that secures your chosen donor. As soon as we receive payment, your donor is released to the clinic of your choice.

Our guarantee: if the clinic finds your donor medically unsuitable, you choose an alternative donor at no extra match fee. If a suitable replacement isn’t possible, any refund is handled in line with your recipient agreement.

Medical guidelines require every donor to be psychologically assessed. This fee is due once your donor has had her appointment.

Covers your donor’s workup, medication and blood tests, egg retrieval, theatre costs, doctor and anaesthetist fees, the basic IVF laboratory fee, embryo transfer, scans plus your own medication and consultations.

Donor compensation

This compensates your donor for her time, effort and discomfort. You leave it with your clinic in cash. The clinic hands it to your donor 2 to 3 days after the egg retrieval.

Donor travel

Fuel and travel costs keep rising. Here is how donor travel is handled so there are no surprises later.

Local travel

R2 000

Added to all matches. It goes straight to your donor to cover her travel to and from the clinic.

Lifts on the day

If needed

Sometimes a donor needs to be dropped off and collected, for example on retrieval day or for unplanned scans. You cover these transfers.

Travel between regions

R2 500 admin fee

If your donor travels from another region to your clinic, her travel, food and accommodation are quoted separately. Ask us for an estimate.

How to pay

Electronic transfer International deposits carry a R450 bank charge. Your bank may add currency conversion and transfer fees.
SnapScan Pay by card or the SnapScan app. A 3.5% surcharge applies. Pay with SnapScan
Cash Accepted. Donor compensation is always paid in cash via your clinic.
